Students returning for the 2014-2015 academic year will submit their course requests online through NetClassroom in March of 2014. Students currently enrolled in 9th, 10th, and 11th grade will meet with their counselor in pre-assigned academic advising sessions in the computer labs or library. These sessions allow students the opportunity to work with their counselor when deciding on their course requests for next year. Counselors are also available for individual academic advising appointments with students and parent(s)/guardian(s) by request.
All course requests are pending approval by a parent/guardian. Course requests can only be approved when a student's counselor receives a signed course schedule with a signature by the parent/guardian. Students take five 70-minute classes each trimester (.5 credits per class). As a result, students complete 15 classes and 7.5 credits per academic year.
Students enrolling in two or more AP courses for the 2014-2015 academic year are eligible to take a non-academic period (“Off Hour”). Requests for a non-academic period must be submitted in writing with a signature of approval from the student’s parent/guardian in March of 2014.
Students are provided with a copy of their schedule for the 2014-2015 academic year prior to the end of the current academic year in May, 2014.
