Students returning for the 2015-2016 academic year will submit their course requests online through NetClassroom in February of 2015. Students currently enrolled in 9th, 10th, and 11th grade are welcome to work with their counselor when deciding on their course requests for next year. Counselors are available for individual academic advising appointments with students and parent(s)/guardian(s) by request. In order to register for next years classes, students will sign up for a scheduling appointment with their counselor. Course scheduling appointments will take place between January 26th- February 12th. A student must have an appointment with a counselor by February 12th in order to turn in the course request form.
All course requests are pending approval by a parent/guardian. Course requests can only be approved when a student's counselor receives a signed course schedule with a signature by the parent/guardian. Students take five 70-minute classes each trimester (.5 credits per class). As a result, students complete 15 classes and 7.5 credits per academic year. Please view the video below for more explination.
Students enrolling in two or more AP courses for the 2015-2016 academic year are eligible to take a non-academic period (“Off Hour”). Requests for a non-academic period must be submitted in writing with a signature of approval from the student’s parent/guardian in February of 2015.
Students are provided with a copy of their schedule for the 2015-2016 academic year prior to the end of the current academic year in May, 2015.
